  1. Maintain Budget – It’s amazing how quickly all those little purchases can add up when you’re not paying attention. Designers will help you stay on budget by keeping track of every expense to maintain the overall project budget so you don’t have to. They can even help you cut costs by lessening mistakes that may otherwise slip through the cracks. They also know when to splurge and where to save, so you get the best value.
  2. Exclusive Products – Designers have access to many brands and showrooms that the public cannot access. They may also be able to provide products at discounted rates. Designers will also suggest looks and finishes that you may not have considered.
  3. Project Management – Designers will save you a lot of time and headaches by taking the stress of ordering, getting samples, coordinating delivers, etc. off your hands. They can also coordinate room installation to make sure everything runs smoothly and in the proper order. No one really wants a sofa sitting in their garage while they wait for paint to dry.
  4. Access to Tradespeople – While you may be selecting your own remodeler for large projects, Designers often have great contacts of quality tradespeople to help get the job done. They can offer help finding painters, carpentry, wallpaper installation and more.
  5. A Cohesive Look – A good designer doesn’t just execute a look for one room, even if that’s all you’ve hired them for. A qualified designer will take into account the style and design of your whole home to make sure the space they’re designing coordinates and makes sense throughout. This can include color schemes, hardware, artwork, furniture style and more.
  6. That Wow Factor – When you hire a designer, they will give your project a polished, finished look that can be hard to achieve on your own. If you’ve ever walked into a space and went “wow”, it probably had the help of a professional designer.
  7. Individuality – Your home should reflect you, not a collection of photos you added to a pin board. While saving images for reference can be helpful to determine your design style, no one wants a cookie cutter home. A great designer will take into account your style, design goals and likes to bring your vision to life in a way that is individual to you.
